“The sound a person makes as they formulate a response.”

Psalm 19:14, “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.”

A Note from Me: There have been many times throughout this last year that I have been desperate to press the “Pause” button of life. Have you ever been there? Wanting to slow down the inevitable passage of time, sit in the moment, ignore the responsibilities of tomorrow, and just be? My firstborn graduated from high school this year, and I am fiercely proud of the young man he has become, and I am so excited to see God continue to move and work in his life. My “job” as his momma, though, is changing, and I am keenly aware that there is no “Pause” button when it comes to the tick, tick, tick of the seconds marking the minutes, marking the hours, marking the days, marking the years as they stalwartly march on. When Mac was first born, my mom asked me and Seth what we were thinking, and Seth, with tears in his eyes, said, “Life keeps getting better and better.” As I look back over the years of raising my children, from the moment I held them in my arms for the first time, to watching them achieve every milestone, grow, and follow the purpose for which God created them, I can’t help but think: “Father God, You keep on getting better to me.” As you dive into this study, I hope you take a few minutes to “Pause” and reflect on the goodness of God, how each day as we draw nearer to Him, His presence becomes sweeter to us. I pray that you follow Christ all of your days, accept the grace of second, third, and fourth chances, that you remain faithful, and that you allow Him to do His perfect work in you.

Love,

          Jers
